- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Cut the puff pastry into squares, approximately 3×3 inches in size. Add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture to the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles and seal the edges tightly with a fork.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed up.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
Notes
Feel free to add other herbs or spices to the filling for extra flavor, such as dill or a pinch of nutmeg.
These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. To cook, bake them directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the total baking time.
