About Carina
Hello! I’m Carina, the heart and hands behind CarinaRecipes.com — and I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a 65-year-old wife, mother, and grandmother who has spent over four decades finding joy in the kitchen. Cooking has always been more than just preparing meals — it’s how I show love, celebrate traditions, and bring my family together around the table.
A Little About Me
I live in a cozy home just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband of over 40 years, Michael. Together, we raised three wonderful children — Emily, Sarah, and Daniel. Today, both Emily and Sarah are married and raising beautiful families of their own. I’m now a proud grandma to four energetic grandchildren who keep my kitchen busy and my heart full.
My Cooking Journey
I started cooking as a teenager, watching my mother and grandmother create the most comforting meals with love and care. Over the years, I’ve collected hundreds of family recipes, adapted old favorites, and discovered new ones through travel, friendship, and curiosity.
Every recipe I share on this site is tested in my own kitchen — often with the help of little hands (my grandkids!) or the eager taste testers that are my family.
